Concentrated Study In Craft And Art
Advanced classes feature extensive hands-on work done by students in order to solidify the concepts and lessons taught. In these classes, students interact with the latest digital cinema cameras, lighting units, software and high-end technology, in order to gain a working understanding of the tools of the contemporary cinematography - who can be refered to also as an Expanded Cinematographer.
As per all GCI Courses, you will learn what is happening now and in the future - this includes learning how to use new technology to enhance creativity on-set. In the advanced classes, students have the opportunity to work much closer with new technology and students are encouraged to push their own creative boundaries. In different classes, students complete lighting, composition and color correction assignments in order to utilize new skills and concepts in all phases of cinematography.
Learning From The Best
To encourage active student participation and growth, each class maintains a small teacher/student ratio. These small class sizes promote a close mentorship and professional networking amongst students and our instructors. Instructors give individual feedback and support to each student, creating a unique, one-of-a-kind classroom environment.
This program features 14-15 hours of instruction in each separate independent class.
Individual Advanced Classes are typically offered twice per calendar year, and students can choose which classes they wish to attend. Class duration, dates and pricing are announced at least two months prior to the beginning of the session.
